Marc Spelmann gets the first Golden Buzzer of 2018

Even though X, the finalist for Britain’s Got Talent, only revealed his identify as Marc Spelmann in jaw-dropping scenes last night, he offered us a sneak peek at his identity right at the beginning of the show.

When Sherlock Homes fans turned into full-fledged investigators during this year’s audition rounds, they found that the magician had tweeted a significant hint.

Marc, Ant and Dec’s 2018 Golden Buzzer, essentially revealed the identity of the person wearing the mask to us eight weeks ago, despite speculation about their identity circulating for months.

It’s hard to realize a year has gone by; what a fantastic experience. “Enjoy the ride [sic], everyone auditioning, and best of luck,” he added.

Dedicated watchers, who write, “It was there all along,” are certain that this was Marc’s cryptic method of disclosing that he is actually X. Wonderful” and “X was giving away the hint immediately at the beginning of the series.”

X finally took off his mask last night, with Marc telling judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and the audience: ‘It was always hope and never giving up.

‘It’s been an honour sharing X with you. I am X. Thank you.’
